The first time that he saw his revenue going up, he called his friend to talk about what happened. When his friend asked him what he was doing to make more money, he simply replied that he was selling hats, tea, hockey tickets, cosmetics and a lot of other stuff, which he thought was "a lot of easy money". The reply was quite exciting for the friend, so he asked him to give him his affiliate link. A few days later, the friend gave him $50 in cash as thanks for the referral.
Fast forward to 5 years later, and James now makes half-a-million dollars a year from Google Adwords.
He buys ads and pays the site owner once the goal is achieved and after he has been paid. He also paid for the shirts and the golf clubs.
Austin does all the work himself using Excel. He uses words to buy the ad and set the targets (for example, 'free banner ads') and he buys the ads on all the sites.
So, he really depends on all the sites that he buys ads to sell to the customers and has been really surprised with the results so far.

How To Make Money With Or Without Google Ads?
1. Advertise your website with Google ads. Google provides advertisers with a great opportunity to place their ads on a wide range of websites. For instance, you can advertise on google.co. uk, google.com and google.com.au for example.
In the beginning, you can receive 40% of the adverts that you place on the website, and this rate increases up to 80% in your first month.
2. Set up a simple website to sell stuff.
When setting up your website, you must keep in mind that you will be generating traffic from people who visit your site and who are searching for products and services. If you can make your website a place where people are going to look for things you can sell to them, you will have a good start and this is the starting point of your success.

Nowadays, it is quite common to offer a product people want and like to buy in return for their links, just like James uses.

4. Find sites that are sold to people.
Here you must find ways to advertise on a site that is sold to people. For example, you can place ads on the front page of this site, or you can place ads on this site's forums. You could also write a review about the product and include it on this site.
5. Tell the customer you are part of a referral program.
When people visit your site and they find a product they like, they can choose to buy the product from you.
You must let them know you have a referral program, for example by telling them that "20% of the cost of the product is donated to charity and your friends can buy it too". When they do that, they will want to refer their friends to buy the products, and this can lead to a huge number of sales for you.
6. Give them money in return.
You must use Google Adwords to promote this link and show them you want people to join your program. You can give them your affiliate link, or you can give them your email address so they can write a review about your product and use it to refer people.
7. Maximize the traffic you are generating.

The goal of most affiliate programs is to make sure your customers get a lot of emails about your products. This is because people are going to get their friends to buy from you, but they may not follow up.
You should send out 20-30 emails a week if you are interested in doing this. You should create long emails, full of words and keywords, or you can create short emails with photos to make it easier for your customers to follow your links.
